EVENT SOLD OUT
Successful ticket holders who nominated accessible seating or dietary requests – we will be communicating with you in the coming weeks to confirm your dietary requests prior to the event.
The Abbey Medieval Banquet will be hosted at the Great Hall at St Michael’s College, Caboolture, on Saturday 4 July 2026.
The Steward of the Hall, Sir Blair Martin, will guide patrons through an evening of feasting and entertainment, including music, pageantry and dance.
Doors open at 5:45pm. We request that all guests are seated by 6:15pm for the Banquet’s opening procession. On entering the Great Hall guests will experience a traditional medieval ritual of ‘washing of the hands’ with scented rosewater followed by a complimentary glass of mulled wine.
Tables are served in sections of eight guests (with four guests per side). Please see seating layout. Platters of food are placed in the centre to be shared. Food is eaten with knives and spoons (or fingers where appropriate) from your bread trencher (GFO) – be sure not to eat your own plate before the food is served!
The Medieval Banquet menu consists of 2 removes (or courses), each consisting of several dishes, plus a final course called an ‘issue’. The menu will include a broad range and sumptuous quantities of authentic medieval food including dessert.
Guests can note dietary requirements (Gluten Free or Vegetarian) when purchasing tickets. In keeping with the medieval experience, no further accommodations can be made for dietary requirements other than those stated.
The Medieval Banquet is a licensed venue. Wine, beer, cider and mead will be available for purchase.
Please note: This is NOT a BYO event.

BANQUET FAQ’S
Can you cater for dietary requests?
Due to the nature of the shared banquet catering, we only capture VEGETARIAN (VEG) or GLUTEN FREE (GF) dietary requests.
While all effort and care is taken to ensure the GF food provided is free from any traces of gluten, we cannot 100% guarantee it. The risk of cross contamination is low, but is still possible.
I'm unable to get tickets next to my friends, can I change my seating?
The Banquet is sold as seated tickets and due to the size and combination of groups and places, it’s not possible to request seating changes. It is recommended to make your booking as a group to ensure you’re seated together.
I want to reserve dedicated seats
To streamline the ticketing process this year, we are not selling dedicated seats. Instead, you will purchase your tickets as a group and will be placed together accordingly. We cannot accommodate seating placements from groups who transact separately. You will receive your seating placement on arrival at the banquet.
